Since Godspeed is more than just a collection of furniture, it would take more than explaining it here.
For now, we prefer to emphasize on the life-style aspect surrounding the concept, which opened doors for us that hopefully also reflects on our clientele.
The decisions we made in the past were usually driven by the circumstances, in the same sense that our furniture often is a reflection of those similar circumstances and surroundings.
This open-minded approach and easygoing attitude towards things turned out to be essential for just that specific direction for our brand and designs.
In Tel Aviv, where we met, we found ourselves challenged by the appearance of the raw city.
Coming from Sweden and Holland, both countries with similar traditions and us sharing similar backgrounds, we’ve found a great source of inspiration in the torn down city around us.
This what was later to be developed into what we call “Designing Decay”.
A tribute to the zeitgeist, embedded within the design, instead of constantly trying to erase the traces of usage.
Being in the middle of an ongoing process as we are, the ugly has become the beautiful and wrong has become right. Useless is now useful and worthless became valuable.
And while there is much more theory and thought around and about it, of which we ourselves can talk passionately for hours and hours, we’ll try and illustrate it along the pictures of our collections on the following pages.
And of course it might be best to inquire additional information straight from the source.
