Godspeed in Italy
Since October 2010, Godspeed opened a new studio in Tuscany, Italy, under the name “Platform Godspeed”
At a former railway station in Gragnola, Godspeed is opening a multifunctional space, where exhibitions, workshops and lectures will be held.
It also offers facilities to host artist-in-residence programs, seminars and individual studio rental to artists and designers.

With the opening of the Platform, Godspeed wants to create a stage for design and art, which will provoke a dialogue between artists, designers and the commercial world.

The platform wants to initiate activities for designers and artists who are working in the field of design, education, production and sales of innovative products and services.

With various programs, Godspeed is aiming for an internationally operating institution, with refreshing opportunities, regarding design and visual arts, where the focus is on the interaction between the various fields.

The Platform stimulates (local) artist and designers towards globally relevant trends, breeding it with the attitudes and ambitions of designers from very different contexts.
The Platform also wants to stimulate the interaction on the thin line between art and design and is looking for an approach between the both.
These outcomes are supported in exhibitions, presented in the Platform’s gallery.

The Platform artist-in-residence program, allows visiting artists to stay and work for a limited period of time. The programs offer conditions that are conducive to creativity and they provide in working facilities, ready to be used by individual artists but also for groups.

The Platform residential arts program offers an application procedure, which is open to artists and designers and works with deadlines.
Usually artists are requested to send in documentation, curriculum vitae, a motivation and a project proposal.
Participation is planned in advance, with a minimum of three months.
